Cumberland Wildlife Park
The all year round opened Cumberland Wildlife Park is located in the beautiful Almtal Valley in Upper Austria, about halfway between Gruenau in Almtal and Lake Almsee. You are provided with a choice of two hiking routes over a 60 hectares spread. You can marvel at the sight of over 500 animals, which represent a good cross-section of the European highland fauna. Ponds, rivers and picturesque meadows add to the unique diversity of Cumberland Wildlife Park’s domain.
In addition to the reconnaissance of domestic European species of animals, Cumberland Wildlife Park is also engaged in the resettlement of endangered species, such as the northern bald ibis, the black vulture and the Przewalski horse. Thus, the wildlife park is exciting for both younger and older visitors.
